External Hemorrhoids
External Hemorrhoids (outside the anus) are difficult to see and only the size of
a pea; they are annoying and embarrassing and can often External Hemorrhoids can be felt as a bulge in the
anus. External Hemorrhoids can be quite itchy, burn, cause sharp pain, are sensitive to touch
and generally make life quite miserable. Overreaction from a doctor can often times cause even more of an
annoyance and added embarrassment. When you do visit the doctor’s office you will usually be advised to just leave
this kind of hemorrhoid alone and see if it gets better, worse or simmers down over the next few days, which more
than likely it eventually does.
If your external hemorrhoids are not thrombosed they are normally quite easy to treat at
home. Most of the hemorrhoid creams and hemorrhoid ointments on the market are specifically targeted at the
treatment of external hemorrhoids. Those with internal hemorrhoids or prolapsed hemorrhoids are not so lucky.
